The World Flying Disc Federation (“WFDF”) is pleased to announce that its Congress has approved the Palestine Flying Disc Association (PFDA) as its newest Member association, increasing WFDF’s membership to 76 national member associations.

“We welcome PFDA to the WFDF flying disc family after a long and thorough admission process conducted by the WFDF Board and members of the WFDF Sport for All / Development Commission,” commented WFDF President Robert “Nob” Rauch.  “It is exciting to introduce a new member from the MENA region as WFDF continues to expand its international sporting activity in the Middle East. PFDA’s leadership has worked diligently over the last couple years through our application procedures, and guarantees that participation in their flying disc activities are open to all athletes notwithstanding their background, ensuring that the flying disc community will benefit from their approval as WFDF member.”

“WFDF puts considerable trust in PFDA to contribute to the development of flying disc sports in the MENA region, particularly through their regular participation in the MENA region Ultimate Tournament,” said WFDF Executive Director Volker Bernardi. “Flying Disc sports keep growing and we are looking forward to approve the next member applications from the Middle East and the Gulf region soon.”

“The Palestine Flying Disc Association (PFDA) is thrilled to be admitted as the newest WFDF national association member,” stated PFDA Director Daniel Bannoura. “Despite the various challenges we face in Palestine and in the MENA region, we are fully committed to our role as an ethical, innovative, and inclusive leader in regional development of flying disc activities. In addition to our ongoing regional initiatives with a diverse set of partners, we are excited to keep building a sustainable Ultimate community for women, men, and youth in Palestine that is rooted in a strong commitment to the Spirit of the Game.”
